The rate is only for the electricity supply and does not include any additional tax, utility distribution service charge or other utility fee or charge. You may rescind the agreement by contacting SmartEnergy or your electric utility within 10 calendar days after the date on the electric utility's written notice confirming the switch to SmartEnergy's service. The electric utility will remain responsible for the delivery of electric power and energy and will continue to respond to any service calls and emergencies. You will receive a written notification from your electric utility confirming the switch of electricity supplier. SmartEnergy is an independent seller of electricity, certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC), and does not represent or act on behalf of your electric utility, any governmental body, or consumer group. SmartEnergy is not the same entity as your electric delivery company. You are not required to enroll with SmartEnergy. The UDS has important disclosures, including information about your new rate and your right to end this contract without termination fees or penalties other than charges or fees for devices, equipment, or other non-electrical services. Please read both this contract and the UDS carefully.
By completing the enrollment process and submitting your order, you are confirming you have the authority to sign up and are voluntarily entering an agreement to initiate service and begin your enrollment with SmartEnergy. Please review SmartEnergy�s Terms of Service for Residential and Small Commercial Customers before completing your enrollment and print or save a copy for your records. Please review your current contract and/or contact your current supplier to learn if any charges or fees for devices, equipment or other services provided by the utility or your current supplier are applicable. You can rescind your enrollment within the required rescission period by contacting SmartEnergy in writing to [email protected] or by calling 1-800-443-4440 (toll-free) Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. E.T. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. E.T.
